From an early age, Liam Brennan has had a passion for Music and throughout his formative years he maintained a love of the music scene, and Live Music in particular, having been involved with various local bands and musicians, many of whom have gone on to enjoy some success in the Music Trade themselves.
Having been an interested Record collector from a young age too, Liam grew to appreciate all forms of Music taste. From the Classics to Light Jazz, Blues, Soul, Disco & his favorite - Rock n’ Roll, Liam was always keen to lend an ear of appreciation. His favorites, however, and the music that probably had it’s biggest influences on him were Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin and of course Deep Purple.
And because of this massive interest in all types of music I suppose it was inevitable that Liam would persue a career in the Music business in some way or other despite his other great passion in his life from a young age too, - Sport. Namely Irish Gaelic Football & Hurling & he played a lot of Top Flight Rugby too for his local club and in Montreal, Canada, also.
In 1990, having returned from Canada, Liam was one of the first in Ireland to introduce the KARAOKE craze that was sweeping throughout the World at that time. His love of the Music business was thus rekindled. He was involved in the resuscitation of the now famed Ballina Salmon Festival and organized such events as “The Lady of the Moy”, ” Blind Date” and “Reach for the Stars” with other committee members.
Since then he has gotten more and more involved in the DJ business has carved out a niche for himself as one of the West of Ireland’s best Wedding & Corporate event Dj’s in the business and he has received numerous commendations and great testimonials from his many delighted customers.
This year, Soundman Entertainments, have been awarded the contract to supply the P.A. & Lighting requirements for the prestigious Ballina Salmon Festival in County Mayo. This award winning Festival attracts in excess of 150,000 people annually to the Streets of the Town and has grown from strength since it’s revival in 1990.
